FUE hair transplantation (follicular unit excision) is a much less invasive alternative to traditional graft-based surgery. There is no needle use, no staples, no sutures, so it is more accurate to refer to FUE hair transplantation as a "procedure" rather than "surgery".

FUE is a method whereby individual follicle units, called grafts, are removed one by one from the donor area with a circular knife smaller than 0.8-0.9 mm. With this technique, up to 2000 grafts can be obtained in one day, with or without shaving the donor area in some cases. Impeccable FUE results can only be achieved through perfect surgical technique, safe harvesting, storage and implantation of the necessary grafts, and regenerative treatment. 

I am proud to have been the first in Hungary in 2019 to start working with the MAMBA device developed by Dr. Roberto Trivellini, which has since become a world-renowned and widely used hair transplantation device. This means that it counts not only when the graft is cut around, but also when it is cleaned or its suction function is used. Thus, the number on the display at the end of the exception does not reflect the amount of grafts removed, but it helps you to stick to the surgical plan and time.

DHI, also known as Direct Hair Implant, is a technique for implanting extracted grafts, whereby the grafts are implanted into the scalp immediately after extraction, using a specially trained implant pen similar to the implanter used for normal hair transplants, without any prior site preparation. Essentially, we cannot talk about FUE and DHI transplantation separately, because they are not the same. FUE is the exception and DHI is the technique used to reimplant the grafts that have been removed.

The benefits of DHI hair transplantation: a more natural, finer, denser hairline can be created with DHI implants.

The disadvantages of DHI hair transplantation: It is more expensive than normal hair transplantation. DHI implants cannot be reused, so all operations are performed with new implants.
