There are situations in which discretion is unavoidable, so the procedure should be performed without any obvious signs of surgery. The only way to do this is to take out long hair without shaving and put long hair back in.
The Long Hair FUE procedure is one of the most professionally challenging procedures, and one that only a few people in the world can perform.
Without shaving
In the Long Hair FUE procedure, neither the donor nor the recipient area is shaved.
Transplanting long hair
During the surgery, long hair is removed and long hair is put back in.
Direct hair transplantation
Grafts containing long hairs are implanted without prior site preparation.
How does a Long Hair FUE procedure work?
The process below shows how to correct a scar with long hair.
Hegek
Wound healing is the result of a complex, interconnected and multi-step process. Scars will consolidate as they heal, but the final strength is only 80% of that of intact skin. Ultimately, the scar will be less elastic than intact skin and will contain neither hair follicles nor other skin appendages such as sweat and sebaceous glands, and may even lose their innervation.

Donor area designation
The size of the donor area depends on the number of grafts needed and the characteristics of the area. Careful planning can avoid the area becoming visibly sparser after the intervention.
Drilling
The most skilled and experienced part of the process is the drilling stage, where a special tool is used to cut around the long hair units to remove them.
Removal of grafts containing long hair
In parallel with the drilling, the circumcised hair follicle units, the grafts, are removed from the scalp.
Grafts containing long hair
The removed grafts are kept refrigerated in a special combined storage fluid until transplantation. The storage fluid protects the follicles from drying out, provides them with energy and prevents freezing injuries.
PRP treatment
To speed up surgical regeneration and improve the survival rate of the grafts, PRP treatment is used in the recipient area.
Direct hair transplantation
Direct hair transplantation involves implanting grafts directly into the scalp with a special implanter pen . This method achieves a more natural, denser result without damaging the existing hair follicles surrounding .
Result immediately after surgery
The results are visible immediately after surgery. Some of the transplanted hairs will fall out in the months following the procedure, and then regrow and become permanent about six to nine months after the procedure.
Donor area after the intervention
Apart from the tiny puncture wounds on the donor area, which are covered by the long hair, there are no other signs of the operation. These tiny sores disappear after a few days.
