There are situations in life where discretion is essential, so the procedure must be performed without leaving any obvious signs of surgery. The only way to achieve this is to extract and transplant long hair without shaving.
The Long Hair FUE procedure is one of the greatest technical challenges, and even on a global scale, only a few are capable of performing it.
No Shaving Required
With the Long Hair FUE procedure, neither the donor nor the recipient area is shaved.

How is a Long Hair FUE procedure performed?
The following process illustrates the correction of a scar using long hair.
Scars
Wound healing is the result of a complex, interconnected, and multi-step process. Scars harden during the healing process, but their final strength reaches only 80% of that of healthy skin. Ultimately, the scar becomes less elastic than healthy skin and contains neither hair follicles nor other skin appendages, such as sweat and sebaceous glands; it may even lose its nerve supply.
Plotting the Containment Area
By plotting the containment area, we get an accurate picture of the number of grafts required.
Selecting a Donor Site
The size of the donor site depends on the number of grafts needed and the characteristics of the site. With careful planning, it is possible to avoid the site appearing noticeably thinner after the procedure.
Drilling
The stage of the procedure that requires the greatest expertise and experience is the drilling phase, during which we use a special tool to cut around the hair follicle units containing long hair so that they can be removed.
Extraction of Grafts Containing Long Hair
While drilling, we extract the circularly excised hair follicle units—the grafts—from the scalp.
Grafts Containing Long Hair
The harvested grafts are kept refrigerated in a special, combined storage solution until implantation. The storage solution protects the follicles from drying out, provides them with energy, and prevents freeze damage.
PRP Treatment
To promote faster postoperative healing and improve graft survival rates, we perform PRP treatment on the recipient site.
Direct Hair Transplantation
Direct hair transplantation involves implanting grafts directly into the scalp using a special implanting pen. This method produces a more natural, denser result without damaging the surrounding existing hair follicles.
Results Immediately After Surgery
The results are visible immediately after surgery. Some of the transplanted hair follicles will fall out in the months following the procedure, but they will grow back approximately six to nine months after the procedure, at which point the final results will be permanent.
Donor Site After the Procedure
Apart from the tiny, pinpoint-sized incisions in the donor site—which are hidden by long hair—there are no other visible signs of the procedure. These tiny incisions disappear after a few days.
