PRP, PRF hair loss treatment

This series of treatments can be used to accelerate the growth of existing hair. Hair becomes thicker, stronger and often slightly darker. The therapy results in higher optical density.

PLATELET-RICH PLASMA

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is an innovative, non-surgical solution for treating hair loss and thinning, miniaturized hair follicles that have thinned over the years. PRP Therapy is a safe, natural alternative to pharmaceutical treatments that injects platelet rich plasma into the scalp to regenerate damaged tissue and miniaturized follicles.
The iPRF injectable platelet-rich fibrin has been used since the 1980s,  mainly in dentistry. It is used for scar treatment and wound regeneration. It is not used to treat hair loss because of the initial shock loss, i.e. temporary hair loss that occurs during the initial phase of iPRF therapy. Since PRP treatment does not cause temporary hair loss and, unlike iPRF treatment, has been shown to be effective in numerous clinical trials, iPRF therapy is used exclusively to treat scars.

WHAT IS PRP THERAPY?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) can be produced from the patient's own blood. The blood is drawn in a similar way to a normal blood test and then separated by centrifugation, from which the PRP used is rich in growth factors (substances needed to stimulate growth in living cells). PRP Therapy is an advanced, state-of-the-art treatment to promote the growth of stronger, thicker, visually richer hair.

HOW DOES PRP HELP WITH HAIR LOSS?

Some of the hair follicles that do not produce hair are not always considered dead, in fact they are often damaged or dormant. Growth factors in platelet-rich plasma can activate stem cells in non-producing hair follicles, promote cell growth and stimulate the formation of a new vasculature that delivers blood and nutrients to regenerated follicles.

INFORMATION LEAFLET FOR PRP TREATMENTS FOLLOWING HAIR TRANSPLANTATION IN A FOREIGN CLINIC

In Hungary or another country, e.g. After hair transplantation in Turkey, PRP treatment is not available for patients without prior medical consultation. If the medical examination determines that the implanted area is suitable for PRP treatment, a fresh laboratory test can be performed.

PRP therapy after a botched hair transplant

A botched hair transplant is when the surgical result is not as expected, the scalp loses elasticity, becomes knotted, dry and the growth rate is lower than expected due to inappropriate surgical techniques. In many cases, the donor area is damaged by overuse and also needs regeneration.

PRP therapy can greatly improve the condition of the scalp, accelerate the regeneration of the donor area and induce the viable follicles to move from dormancy to growth phase in response to growth factors, thus triggering the growth of both the patient's own and the transplanted viable hairs.

PRP therapy for female hair loss

I was contacted by a female patient for hair loss and hair quality improvement. After 3 prp treatments, the hairs were strengthened, hair loss was reduced and visually denser coverage was achieved. Treatments will continue for further improvement. The pictures 1. before treatment from both temporal sides and from the 3. were taken 3 weeks after prp treatment.

When hair transplantation is not the best solution

I was contacted by a patient about hair loss on the top of the head. From the first meeting, it was clear that the so-called androgenic alopecia was a characteristic feature of the disease. Ludwig II pattern emerged. The thin hairs on the top of the head, which had lost their hold, thickened after the 3rd prp treatment, the density of the hairs increased and their hold improved.

PRP therapy for male pattern hair loss in women

Treatment of female androgenetic alopecia, a male pattern hair loss with PRP therapy.

Before - hair density in the area affected by hair loss: 35-40 hairs/cm2, hair thickness: 0.04mm

Afterwards - after 3 PRP treatments - hair density in the area affected by hair loss: 80-100 hairs/cm2, hair thickness: 0.08mm

In the 4-6 months following a series of treatments, the results achieved will continue to improve, with further increases in hair density and thickness.

PRP therapy for male pattern hair loss in women

On first encounter: rapidly oily, less elastic scalp, thinning hair that has lost its hold. I had 1 prp treatment every 3 weeks, after which the scalp regained elasticity and the hairs thickened and regained their hold. Therapy is continued to achieve further results.

PRP therapy for male pattern hair loss

My male patient came to me because of rapid wear of the centre of the vertex (rotation). The earlier the balding process is detected, the more effective regenerative therapy can be. My patient has seen results after 3 PRP treatments, hair loss has stopped, thinning hairs have thickened.

The patient contacted me because of increased hair loss. On first encounter, thin, weak hairs and a dry, thin scalp were noted. We did prp treatment every 3 weeks. After 3 prp treatments, the scalp regained elasticity, the hairs became thicker and the hair shaft was lifted. Therapy is continued to achieve further results.
